Bill Clinton At MIT Energy Conference Tomorrow? April 11, 2008 at 7:09 PM

I just returned from the MIT Energy Showcase, where rumors were circulating about a surprise VIP appearance at tomorrow’s conference. All members of the press were advised to show up early for an I.D. and bag check. Somehow I don’t think Google’s Dan Reicher or KPCB’s John Doerr merit that kind of security. A well-placed source told me the surprise VIP may be Bill Clinton. Another possibility, though clearly a longshot, is former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, who sits on the board of the Carnegie Corporation of New York with MIT President Susan Hockfield. A Doerr/Gore tag team also isn’t beyond the realm of possibility.
